Welcome to PLATO, Inc - Professional Learning and Theatrical Organization, Inc. - a brand new 501(c)3 non-profit organization making the Golden Apple Dinner Theatre its home. PLATO’s mission is to provide professional theatre, theatrical training and community outreach.

Our inaugural production is Ron Hutchinson’s Moonlight and Magnolias, opening May 17 and running through July 1. That will be followed by Joe DiPietro’s All Shook Up, taking the stage from July 12-September 2.Tickets are on sale now. Save $7 when you purchase tickets to Moonlight and Magnolias and All Shook Up at the same time (opening nights excluded) - it's our Save Seven 2012 package!

We’ve already created a speakers bureau – PLATO’s Orchard – which brings fun and informational workshops and lectures to your organization or group. Also on tap is a line-up of summer classes, beginning with the FREE Taste of Meisner on May 5. We are in the process of forming a unique support arm for PLATO called ALL (Arts Lover’s League). This is just the beginning – there’s a lot more in store!

Moonlight and Magnolias

David O. Selznick is determined to rewrite Gone with the Wind. He engages the services of “script doctor” Ben Hecht, who has never read the book, and director Victor Fleming, poached straight from the set of The Wizard of Oz. An insight into 1930s Hollywood and an epic of laughter - starring Chris Caswell, Ryan Fitts, Alana Opie and B.J. Wilkes, directed by Carole Kleinberg.
