ARTS LOVER’S LEAGUE (ALL)
Arts Lover’s League (ALL) now forming! Please join us in a new adventure to support and promote the artistic and educational endeavors of PLATO, Inc. through outreach and fundraising and to be a bridge between professional theatre, its patrons, and the Sarasota/Manatee schools’ arts programs. We hope to build and maintain this bridge by showcasing aspiring young talents from our local scholastic community to our arts patrons in a professional venue: the Golden Apple Dinner Theatre.
Imagine attending a professional production and while awaiting curtain time enjoying the fine art, sculpture or jewelry on display in the lobby; listening to a student jazz combo or string ensemble; or nibbling on culinary creations while perusing poetry or photography or watching a dance video. This is how we plan to form the bridge.
ALL’s Meetings
Annual dues are only $20 per year (October-September) per person. Monthly meetings will be held the second Thursday of each month (beginning in October 2012) at the Golden Apple Dinner Theatre from noon to 1:30 pm. Lunch meetings ($15 each including tip, beverage and Chef’s choice dessert) will feature an engaging speaker and delicious dining choices such as chicken quesadillas, Ceasar salad (plain, with chicken, with tilapia), coconut shrimp, BBQ pulled pork sandwich and/or a variety of burgers.
Special Events
Between now and October, ALL’s board of directors is planning a variety of special events to keep you engaged, entertained and informed. In the works: a 4th of July cocktail party at a beautiful bayfront residence, a special ALL Shook Up night to see PLATO’s production of the musical All Shook Up followed by a dessert reception with the cast; a Sunday jazz brunch; and more!
